Services

We offer individual therapy to support a number of mental health goals and conditions using the best methodology available.  During the course of sessions, clients can receive diagnostic help, support with an ongoing condition, or occasional expert consultation to address a concern or make progress on a goal.

In addition to initial assessment and ongoing progress monitoring, your clinician will help you craft a plan for improving your experience of life right where you are. With practical steps and useful techniques, your sessions aim to help you become more well and independent as you navigate life.

Some clients come to us with serious mental health challenges, while others use mental healthcare to support the active pursuit of Well Being. You don't have to wait for burnout at work, deterioration of your physical body from stress, or the strain on your relationships before you begin working on mental wellness.

For self-help, check out our Resources, designed to support you as you develop your well being. Though we all need the support of qualified mental healthcare providers at the right time, there are also steps we can take on our own to begin making progress toward optimal health.

Insurance

While Santa Rosa Psychotherapy does not bill insurance companies directly, we will gladly provide documentation which you may send to your insurance company directly for reimbursement. Payment for services will be due upon completion of each session. Please be aware that not all issues, conditions, and problems which are dealt with in psychotherapy are reimbursed by insurance companies. We encourage you to verify the specifics of your coverage with your insurance company.

These are some helpful questions when investigating your insurance coverage with your provider:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?
  • Can I be reimbursed for seeing an "out-of-network" provider?
  • How many sessions per year does my insurance cover?
  • How much will I be reimbursed per session for an "out-of-network" provider?
  • What is my annual deductible?
  • Do I need pre-authorization?:

Medicare: While we do accept Medicare, we have no openings for new Medicare clients at this time.

No Surprises Act

By law, in effect January 2022, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

Your Rights to a Good Faith Estimate

If you are uninsured or not using insurance:

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call CMS at 1-800-985-3059.
